HISTORY
Paul Schmergel, founder of Schmergel Enterprises, began his career in the construction business in 1952. Originally focused on residential development, Paul built more than 3,000 single-family homes on Long Island during a 12-year period.

In 1964, Paul began to focus on commercial properties, and founded Schmergel Enterprises Corp. Beginning with properties in Great Neck, New York, Paul steadily built a portfolio comprising some of Long Island’s most notable commercial buildings.

In the 1970's, Paul’s sons, Bill and John Schmergel, joined the company to grow its portfolio of properties, and also expand its lines of service. Today, in addition to being one of Long Island’s most prominent commercial property owners, the firm is also active in commercial and residential development in Florida and Colorado and provides a full-spectrum of real estate services including: leasing services, construction and project management services, 24/7 facilities management services and property and asset management services.

Though it has expanded its business and diversified its service offerings, Schmergel Enterprises’ focus remains the same: to provide best-in-class, personalized real estate services to clients regardless of size, position or situation.
