It has been a very productive year at Schmergel Enterprises, having completed significant lease agreements and several important renovation projects. The dedication and diligence of our partners and employees, and cooperation of our tenants, made these accomplishments possible, and for that we’d like to express our sincere gratitude.
Following are some of the highlights of our 2007 operations:
1010 Northern Boulevard, Great Neck, NY
We completed a new 5,000 SF medical suite for Dr. Dwight DeRisi, a noted breast surgeon. Quality installations of medical equipment, communications, and office furnishings were accomplished in this beautifully constructed modern facility.
Our Schmergel reconstruction team undertook a major rehabilitation/waterproofing of our 3-level, 600-car parking facility. The cost of this major upgrade exceeded $1,000,000 and will facilitate the safe housing of our tenant’s vehicles.
Recognizing the importance of an enjoyable, relaxing lunch in the middle of a hardworking day, we renovated our building cafeteria, The 1010 Café,. We hope all of our visitors and tenants will take advantage of the facility and enjoy the excellent food and opportunity for a break from their office.
On September 7, 2007 we held our annual charitable jazz barbeque for our tenants and neighbors. This year’s benefit raised $2,428, which was donated to the “Lean On Me” Breast Cancer Network..The event was a great opportunity for our tenants to enjoy some music, good food, and conversation.
600 Northern Boulevard, Great Neck, NY
Our tenant, Neurological Surgery of Long Island, expanded its facility to include a Pain Management/Neuro-Oncology suite, which will provide innovate and in-demand services to its patients.
We renewed a lease for an additional 10 years with the building’s largest tenant, First Rehabilitation Life Insurance Company of America, Inc. First Rehabilitation occupies 18,000 SF on the third floor of this premier office building.
350 Jericho Turnpike, Jericho, NY
We are pleased to announce that this building is now 100% occupied, which was accomplished by completing two major lease transactions with the following new tenants:
| 1) |
|
North Shore-LIJ Health System Federal Credit Union; leasing 5,000 SF |
| |
| 2) |
|
Certified Public Accountants and Consultants, Lazar Sanders Thaler & Associates, LLP, specialists in the needs of closely held businesses in all commercial endeavors; occupying 8,000 SF |
| |
We also completed the redecoration of the building lobby by installing an attractive new ceiling with energy efficient lighting. |
